For this week, revisit the concepts of organizational intelligence (OI), competitive intelligence (CI), and business intelligence (BI) in regards to decision-making processes. Interview two (2) members of the board of directors from one company (preferably the organization from the fourth week) concerning knowledge transformation and global decision support systems (DSS). In addition to your inquiries that derived from your research, inquire about (a) the benefits and buy-in of global decision support systems, which include global studios (i.e., visual collaborations); (b) the process of deciding how global DSS may be implemented within the organization; and (c) how ethics may become compromised in deploying global DSS. Conclude how global DSS may increase the presence of global partners, which may involve off shoring to micro enterprises.
