Using Chapter 8’s Personal and Professional Competencies assessment from Seattle University, as well as the learning objectives from your current or most recent field placement, identify an area of professional competence where you believe you would benefit from continuing education. Then, conduct an Internet search for recent or upcoming continuing education events for social work professionals in your area. Select one that interests you and describe it in your discussion post. What would make it useful to your professional development?
