Competency 1:

By analyzing a company’s network diagrams, a student will be able to identify the current IT infrastructure, IT standards, and IT protocols and then identify potential technology improvements to increase business performance and create a report to senior management justifying the need for the technology improvement. 

Competency 2: 

By analyzing network diagrams of a company, a student will be able to create a summary of risks to the current IT structure, recommendations for mitigating the risks, recommendations for IT infrastructure improvements, and a system management plan detailing the addition of an ERP, CRM, or SCM system. 

Competency 3: 

By utilizing concepts taught throughout the course and network diagrams, students will create an e-commerce proposal and implementation plan and an IT infrastructure improvement proposal and presentation.

Question #1:

Can you think of a situation in which you identified an improvement at work but needed to convince senior management through a report? Can you provide an example, either within your work environment or in society at large, when you analyzed a network diagram and identified risks to a process or system? How could you utilize implementation plans or improvement proposals at work?

What specific assignments or learning activities from this course did you find particularly beneficial? What do you feel could have improved or added to your learning experience in this course?
