Define and explain how each of the following concepts can be applied to understanding Genie’s psychology. Use

specific evidence from the case study. Make sure you FULLY explain your claims. Organize your Part II using the

Biological Psychology

Select TWO concepts from biological psychology and define and apply them to making claims at understanding

Genie’s behavior. The following concepts are examples that could be used: neuroplasticity, hormones,

sympathetic and parasympathetic, neurotransmitters, amygdala, hippocampus, etc.

Developmental Psychology

Select FOUR concepts (no two concepts can come from one theory) from developmental psychology define and

apply them to making claims at understanding Genie’s behavior. The following concepts are examples that could

be used: teratogens,

Social Psychology

Select TWO concepts from biological psychology and define and apply them to making claims at understanding

Genie’s behavior. Students might consider any of the concepts to connect to the case: normative social influence,

obedience, attribution, foot-in-the door phenomenon, cognitive dissonance, etc.

Research Methods

Select TWO concepts from research methods, define and apply them to the Genie case study. Students might

consider any of the concepts to connect to the case: reliability, validity, experimenter bias, case study, internal

validity, etc.
