Discussion Assignment Instructions

The student will complete 3 Discussions in this course.
The student will post one thread of at least 500 words by 11:59 p.m. (ET)
on  Sunday of the assigned Module: Week. The student must then post 2 replies of
at least 250 words by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of
the following assigned Module: Week. For each thread, students must
support their assertions with at least 3 scholarly citations
in APA format. Each reply must incorporate at least 1 scholarly
citation in APA format. Any sources cited must have been
published within the last five years. Acceptable sources include relevant
scholarly references and one scriptural reference. 

Question

In order to contextualize leadership in law
enforcement organizations, let us “paint the readings blue”.  First, what
is your definition of leadership? What is the basis of your definition? 
Proffer several book or article definitions of leadership.  What are the
unique qualities of leadership in criminal justice organizations?  If you
argue there are no unique qualities you must then support this assertion? How
important is credibility in leading criminal justice organizations and what
happens when criminal justice leaders lack credibility? 

Remember you must still use scholarly
references and a biblical worldview for this post. While this Discussion Prompt
is loaded with questions, be sure to balance your answers to address all the
questions.
