Assignment Objective

You are encouraged to work with enterprise mobility in terms of communication, organization and technology. Combination of practical/research aspects where students work independently and provide evidence to the topic and provide critical evaluation on the topic.

Task:

Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) refers to the management of devices in a corporate setting. Its main purpose is to ensure that devices and data stay secured even when employees are working on the go.

The need to have a firm enterprise mobility strategy is more critical than ever. According to some estimates, the global workforce is expected to reach 1.87 billion people by 2020. This means that all organizations must address their policies and make sure their approach is the right one – meaning that it aligns with business needs, organisational policies, culture, budget, IT and staff resources, and other consideration.

Currently, we see three popular options:

– Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

– Choose Your Own Device ( CYOD)

– Corporate-Owned, Personally-Enabled (COPE)

There is no one-size-fits-all solutions and each of these have pros and cons.
