Consider the current child protection policies and practices of one Australian state or territory.  How well do they reflect the principles of social justice and child wellbeing? In what respect could social work skills, knowledge and values contribute to the development of policies and practices which more closely reflect these important principles?

– conceptualise and articulate the consequences of contested philosophical, theoretical, contextual and experiential factors in the development of social policy and social work practice.

– articulate the ways in which social work’s commitment tons social justice can be expressed in policy and practice responding to violence against women and children.
