1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the use of surveillance cameras in public places? Do you believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, or not? Explain your answer.
2. Do you think that there should be a public discussion about the installation of a surveillance camera before it is put in place? If so, do you think that such discussion should take place with respect to any method used to detect or deter crime, or not? If you do not think that there should be a public discussion about individual cameras, should there be one before a police department or other public agency is authorized to use them at all? Explain your answers.
3. How might cameras change how people behave in public? In what ways might such possible changes be beneficial to human well-being, and in what ways might they be detrimental?
