Step 1: Choose a short story from the list provided to compare to a course text. You will sign up with the teacher as there are limited spots for each story. Make sure to have a backup if your story is unavailable. The last date to choose your story and get it approved by the teacher is January 7th, but it is recommended that you do so earlier.
Step 2: Complete a literary analysis for the new story you are using AND for the course text you are comparing it to. This must be submitted separately on turnitin.com. All analysis must follow the proper format listed below and be in your own words, written in full sentences. All quotations must have proper intext citations and an MLA works cited list.
Step 3: After completing your written analysis, you will create a visual comparison of the story and the course text to show how the theme you have chosen is present in each of the texts.
Step 4: Share your visual comparison during a gallery walk presentation AND write 1 reflection paragraphs for your day of viewing during the gallery walk
