Every company experience interruption in the business process due to man-made (intentional or unintentional) or natural disaster. The security team must work together with other members of the IT team as well as across department to sustain the business after a security event.  Reflect on the company profile you presented last week to complete this assignment.  Think about the industry and the environment in which the company is located. Certainly you will find some threats that are unique to the organization. Consider the how you must help the organization take precaution to ensure or critical data remain confidential, the integrity of both data and information system remain intact, and are available to authorized internal and external users.

Research 

In your role as a security personnel, you are responsible to help ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and the availability of the organization’s critical data and information systems. 

With this role in mind, visit the national oceanic and atmospheric administration’s website (NOAA) https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/billions/events. Review and select one national disaster that occurred in 2020 to 2021 (do not use COVID-19).

For this assignment, you will need to have at least 3 supporting scholastic articles.  Yes, this is in addition to any Internet reference you may use.

1. Describe the type of type of disaster 
2. Discuss the importance of an effective Incident Response Plan.
3. Propose an Incident Response Methodology for the type of disaster you identified above
