Assignment: Business Environment Analysis

Review your experiences with the simulation in the practice rounds. Think about the materials on the internal environment in the textbook. On that basis:

1. Draw a mind-map of the internal environment of your simulation company (Refer to the mind-mapping guidelines and information sources).

2. Identify what you think is a critical component of your simulation company’s internal environment (an item from your mind-map). (Each team member MUST choose a different component.)

3. Find a high quality academic source that helps you understand that component.

4. Briefly summarize the academic source in your own words. (maximum of 100 words)

5. Briefly explain how the academic source improves your understanding of the internal component. (50 to 100 words)

6. Prepare a report as follows using Microsoft Word or with Word .doc or .docx output, or .rtf output:Grading:

This assignment will be marked out of 50 pts. as follows:

• 10 pts. for the quality of the mind-map
• 5 pts. for the quality of the academic source
• 10 pts. for the quality of the summary
• 10 pts. for the quality of the explanation of value.
• 10 pts. for the quality of the English
• 5 pts. for compliance with APA standards
