How does this project work?
In this assignment, you’ll review 5 examples of multimedia learning content. For each example you’ll compose an analysis of how The Principles of Multimedia Learning relate to your interpretation of the learning outcomes of that example. The Principles of Multimedia Learning may be present in the example, but could be increasing or decreasing the learning outcome. There may be Principles of Multimedia Learning not present in the example, that could be employed to enhance learning outcomes.
What will I need to do?
· Review each of the examples provided in the section called
“What are the examples?”
For each example:
·Identify a Principle of Multimedia Learning that is being used effectively to achieve a learning outcome in the example. Discuss how it enhances learning
Identify a Principle of Multimedia Learning neglected in the example, which negatively affects the learning. Discuss how it hinders learning.
·Describe something you would change about the material that would improve learning outcomes. Use thePrinciple of Multimedia Learning in your reasoning.
·Make sure you discuss a minimum of 5 different Principles of Multimedia Learning within the assignment.
How do I submit the project?
Each example is submitted in writing.
oWRITTEN: The total word count for each multimedia example, should be 150 to 400 words. Visual examples can be used in the document.
How is the project assessed?
Assessment will be based on the quality of the analysis and composition of arguments and ideas. For example, only listing applicable principles would get a very low score. Listing and describing effects of principles on the example that show a correct understanding of the principle will score higher. Creative ideas, based on the principles, that could improve learning fo the specific example will be key to reach the top score for each example. Use of images or other media that help explain concepts and ideas could be helpful in reaching the highest scores.
You will be given a score between 1 and 10 (10 being the highest score) for each example – for a total of up to 50 for your overall project. I will share the scores for each example and comments with you.
