There are various reasons why we should be cautious in drawing causal conclusions with a correlational design. One reason why we should be cautious is because although there may be a link between two activities there may not be evidence to support that one causes the other (Myers & Hansen, 2012). My hypothesis for my study is to find the link between prolonged exposure to stress and physical and mental changes to the body.
