Application Papers (20 pts. each/100 total):
For each major section of the course you must bring to class an example that illustrates an idea found in the reading for the day, and to write a short “application paper”. You need to write 5 (five) papers. In 200-400 words, explain how the example illustrates the idea. To earn all 20 points you should:
1) briefly explain or summarize the example, 100 words
2) make connections between the example and specific concepts from the chapter by defining these concepts and explaining how he example illustrates the concept, 100 words
3) include proper in-text citations of any material you use from the chapters, i.e., chapter author’s last name(s), year, and page numbers, 100 words
and 4) keep your papers free of grammar/spelling errors.
These papers are due via Canvas on the day we discuss the reading they relate to. As we will discuss the theories you write about, it will be extremely useful for you to bring in a copy of your paper or notes for class discussion.
