After reviewing the learning resources presented that address the leadership approaches and
theories pre-1960, you will interpret the key components of the styles presented thus far in the
course and identify your preferences related to each. An analysis of your own behaviors through
completion of the leadership style questionnaires will assist in the determination of your
preferences. Taking your strongest leadership preference into consideration, you will review a
case study related to that leadership approach and compare the actions taken by that leader to
your approach. In the third component you will describe a specific situation when you acted in a
leadership role to use as the basis for analysis of your leadership in action. A final evaluation of
how the leadership style demonstrated impacted the situation, both from a leader and a follower
perspective, will result in self-recommendations as to how improvements could be made in the
future.
