Discussion Assignment Instructions

Discussion Thread: School and Work

Eccles and Roeser (2011) discuss three levels of school context that can influence students. Choose one of the levels discussed and relate research about this level to your personal experiences in school when you were an adolescent. How did your experiences at this level positively and/or negatively impact you personally or academically? Next, discuss what, if any, paid work experience you had in adolescence. What impact did your engagement or lack of engagement in paid work have on your personal or academic journey? Finally, apply Biblical Scripture to your experiences in the school or work environment. Remember to pose a discussion question in your thread per assignment instructions.

You will post one thread of at least 500

Week 8, your main thread will be due on Thursday of the assigned Module/Week

The replies will be due on Friday by 11:59 p.m. (ET).

For each thread, you must support your assertions with at least 2 scholarly citations in current APA format, which must also be included in an APA-style reference section at the end of the thread.

One of these sources must be from a module reading.

The other source must be from an outside academic source not included in module readings (academic books or peer-reviewed articles only) that has been published within the last
seven years.

Each thread must also include the use of a Biblical scripture reference with accompanying explanation/application.

Finally, threads must include a discussion question posed to the reader related to the prompt/readings.

Each reply must include quality feedback and identify a least one strength or critique related to the classmate’s thread.
