PAPER GUIDELINES

This is the guidelines for the papers

EACH PAPER MUST BE TYPED IN A 12 POINT TIMES NEW ROMAN FONT, AND DOUBLE SPACED.ALL PAPERS MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

1.)  COMMENT ON AND SUMMARIZE WHAT YOU READ OR ATTENDED

This means I would like a “narrative format.”   You are to provide a “story” about the reading or event in chronological or sequenced order.

2.)  PROVIDE AN ANALYSIS OF WHAT YOU READ OR ATTENDED

This means you are to divide/ categorize and /or classify the new information and draw a conclusion or present an opinion about the reading or event.

3.)  COMPARE & CONTRAST WHAT YOU READ OR ATTENDED TO OTHER READINGS OR EVENTS.

This means you are to discuss your prior knowledge   and describe how the readings or events are similar (compare) and how things are different (contrast).

4.)  SUGGESTIONS/SOLUTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT

Discuss ways to improve your outlook, make recommendations for changes, and suggest solutions for the issues you’ve identified.

5.)  QUESTIONS: Please note the questions that occurred to you during the event(s) that may or may not have answers.

ANSWER WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, HOW, AND WHY FOR ALL QUESTIONS-I WANT TO SEE THAT YOU HAVE EXERCISED SOME CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS AND ANALYZED THE EXPERIENCE OR READING.

REQUIREMENTS Book Report: 5 pages not including cover page and works cited page for a total of 7 pages. Research Paper: 7 pages not counting cover page and works cited pages for a total of 9 pages Different requirement for: Chapter Questions: *12 font*Double-spaced*Times New Roman*Include the questions along with the answers
