Guidelines: There are four options outlined below. Select ONE to respond to for your first written assignment. Regardless of which option you choose, use and cite a minimum of three sources at the end of your paper in a separate section as well as citing appropriately within your paper. Two of those sources MUST be from Part 1. Use a standard academic format style such as MLA, ASA or APA (if you need some support on this, there is a web-link to the Purdue Writing Owl on our course BB site).

OPTION 1:   . Keeping in mind (gently) that the title of Part 1 is Why Study Sociology? How would you now answer that question? (Be sure to make connections to three sources; two MUST be from Part 1).   

 Rubric for grading of the assignment: (Value of Assignment- 5 points)

· Development of a main idea – 1.5 points

· Citation of sources – 2.5 points

· Attention to details, spelling, grammar, mechanicals – .5 points

· Handed in on time -.5 points
