This week, we focused on diversity and the impact of diversity in organizations. This assignment reinforces and expands on this topic through exploring how our biases influences the way we interact with others and information.

 Directions: 

1. Watch the TED talks “The Power of Introverts” AND “Filter Bubbles“
2. Take the Personality Assessment and review your style.
3. Watch the 30 min talk by Dr. Welle on Unconscious Bias in the Workplace.

Below are questions to consider as you prepare to write. 

1. What are the main take-ways from the TED Talks and Dr. Welle’s talk?
2. How would filter bubbles change our perceptions about our workplaces and co-workers?
3. Discuss how a company might use unconscious bias training to help reduce bias in an organization.
4. Was there anything you found surprising in Dr. Welle’s talk?
5. What are possible challenges that you see for yourself regarding overcoming biases? Have you ever tried to overcome a bias that you were aware of? What did you do to change it?

To receive the full points for the assignment you should:

1. Write a 600-700 word page in Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1-inch margins
2. You should use course content, TED Talks, and Dr. Welle’s video to write about how diversity impacts organizational life – that is, this is not just about your personal experience. You should reflect on how your personal experience is related to organizational behavior.
